Data Collection Sites and Firewall Training

This information is for those that Really Do NOT want spybots or any data collection.  Flash Sites are one of many that collect data.  Their files placed on your computer will show up with a scan using SpyBot Search and Destroy.  Some utilities, such as RUBotted by Trend Micro will trigger on a DNS inquiry regarding these sites.

Data Collection Sites - Opt out if possible (.sol files):
    • Data collection from flash player on viewed videos
  • Above is a sample of the sites that collect data via your flash player.
  • Data on these sites was obtained by running Spybot S&D on many different computers that have access to the internet.  And looking for files .sol extension on public computers.
  • Data was under: Adobe FlashPlayer Cookies, Keep in mind that Flash player collects data!
  • Some sites appear to be a good business model, under Privacy Policy they offer an opt-out.  Others are so complicated that their opt-out is unlikely to ever happen.
